Sponsored Content

Since its inception, MomsTEAM Institute for Youth Sports Safety has sought sponsorships and corporate underwriters from trusted and credible research organizations, manufacturers, and other leaders, that, like MomsTEAM, are dedicated to making youth sports safer. Although there is a benefit to MomsTEAM, underwriters and sponsors also benefit from of the "halo" effect of being associated with an organization that has become over the past fifteen plus years a trusted source for all sports stakeholders of objective, timeless and timely information on sports injury prevention and treatment, nutrition, hydration.

"Sponsored content" has been either provided by or influenced by the named sponsor. While sponsored content is subject to MomsTEAM Institute's Advertising Policy, it is not subject to ourĀ Editorial Policy nor reviewed by the Editorial Staff. Therefore, we take meaningful steps to ensure that our users will not confuse sponsored content with content written by Institute staff or outside experts and other original MomsTEAM editorial content.

You will find that:

  • All content on MomsTEAM that is influenced in any way by a sponsor is identified with the label "Sponsored by" or "From Our Sponsor".

  • MomsTEAM visitors are informed that content originates from a sponsor before they click to access it, so they are always making an informed decision to view it. Within the sponsor's content, there may be links to the sponsor's website. Users will be notified through the use of a small "micro window" notice informing them that they are visiting another site with a different privacy policy.

  • Many times, third parties offer to provide funding for the creation of MomsTEAM original Editorial content without having any influence over it. In these instances, the content will be labeled as a "Special Feature Section" or carry a statement saying the content was funded through an Unrestricted Grant or Unrestricted Educational Grant.

It is important to note that while MomsTEAM sponsors are subject to our Advertising Policy, where appropriate, they must also comply with guidelines from regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

MomsTEAM Institute of Youth Sports Safety does not endorse any specific product, service or treatment.
