In-line Hockey

Expert Wanted

Do you know an in-line hockey coach in your community you think would be an ideal candidate to be MomsTeam's lin-line hockey expert? Send his or her name to info@momsteam.com.

In-Line Hockey: Pronunciation: \ˈhä-kē\
a game resembling ice hockey played on a hard surface by players wearing in-line skates and using hockey sticks and a small ball

Inline hockey is a fun and exciting variation of roller hockey, and quite similar to ice hockey. It is a team sport and is played in indoor, artificial inline hockey rinks. It is a year-round sport at the youth, scholastic, and professional levels. Inline hockey is a safer alternative to ice-hockey becaue there is no checking, no razor sharp blades, and a plastic puck is used.

This game moves faster than ice hockey because it focuses on speed and skill, rather than strength. Inline hockey can be a fun and competitive alternative to ice hockey.

MomsTeam's goal is to provide comprehensive information on in-line hockey: advice on the equipment needed and how to buy it, a primer on the rules of the sport, and videos and advice from experts, parents, and manufacturers of in-line hockey gear.

But to do that we are going to need your help. If you are a parent of a child who plays or has played in-line hockey, we hope you will share what you have learned with other MomsTeam parents. Please consider writing a blog, contributing an article, posting on and/or hosting a Forum, or becoming an in-line hockey expert. If you know of someone who used to play or coach in-line hockey who has knowledge to share, ask him or her to join. Together we can make MomsTeam a true community of sports parents!
