In buying a lacrosse stick for your child, it is important to consider his skill level, says Neal Goldman, lacrosse manager at Brine. For a beginner, parents should look for a stick with a wider face or head that will make it easier for him to scoop up ground balls and master the fundamentals of the sport.  The more advanced the skill level, the narrower the stick head.
