Keeping Our Children In the Game

The best way for parents to keep their children safe while playing sports is by becoming educated themselves. If parents are aware of the most common injuries in the sport their child is playing and how to prevent those injuries they can insist that their child’s program take the steps needed to keep them healthy and in the game.

MomsTeam has worked very hard over the past eight years to provide the youth sports community with comprehensive information on sports safety and to ways to reduce the number and severity of injuries they suffer on the playing field, court or rink. In addition to tips on prevention, we provide advice on injury treatment. Just select a health or safety center from the Select a Center folder to the left and then click on the topic in which you are interested to see a list of articles, videos and blogs on that topic. If you don’t find what you are looking for, we invite you to e mail MomsTeam, or better yet, pose your question to the MomsTeam community of parents and experts (of which you are an important part) by clicking on the Forums tab at the top of the page to find the appropriate forum in which to ask your question or start a new one. Together as a team, we can make youth sports a safer place for everyone.
