In the small percentage of cases where a student-athlete's concussion symptoms, such as headache, do not resolve quickly (a condition called post-concussion syndrome), a co-ordinated, individualized plan designed by a team of specialists, including a neuropsychologist, the athlete, his parents, his doctor, and his school, should be developed to achieve an eventual return to the classroom and sports.  Because every concussion is unique, there are no cookie-cutter answers, says sports concussion neuropsychologist, Rosemarie Scolaro Moser, Ph. D.
