Badminton

Do you know a badminton coach in your community you think would be an ideal candidate to be MomsTeam's badminton expert? Send his or her name to info@momsteam.com.

Badminton: Pronunciation: \ˈbad-ˌmi-tən, -ˌmin-tən\
a court game played with light long-handled rackets and a shuttlecock volleyed over a net

Badminton is a racquet sport that requires excellent aerobic stamina, strength, accuracy, and speed, and consists of either singles or doubles matches. Badminton is a popular outdoor recreational activity, and is also an Olympic sport. The USBA sponsors regional tournaments, and the World Junior Championship—an great goal for your child.

MomsTeam's goal is to provide comprehensive information on badminton: advice on the equipment needed and how to buy it, a primer on the rules of the sport, videos, advice from experts, parents, and manufacturers of badminton gear.

To do that we are going to need your help. If you are a parent of a child who plays badminton or has played badminton, we hope you will share what you have learned with other MomsTeam parents. Please consider writing a blog, contributing an article, posting on and/or hosting a Forum, or becoming a badminton expert. If you know of someone who used to play or coach badminton who has knowledge to share, ask him or her to join. Together we can make MomsTeam a true community of sports parents!
